Frequently asked questions

When do pre-orders open?

Pre-orders for the Viska will open once our production ready prototype is complete. We want to ensure our rifles are fully ready to ship before any sales are made. We are currently preparing for large volume manufacture. Although our products page features “sold out” pre-orders, they has not yet been available. The date for pre-orders is yet to be set, stay tuned to our social media pages for updates.

What Calibers will it be AVAILABLE in?

The current plan is for the rifle to be released initially in 9x39. After production starts, we will focus on adapting the rifle in 7.62x39 and .300BLK.

Will there be an AS VAL/SR3M clone?

We have plans for both an AS VAL stock/grip and an SR3M. Our current plan for the AS VAL is to offer a grip and side folding stock unit that easily mounts to the standard Viska. While the SR3M share many components with the Viska, we will need to design a new receiver, barrel, and forend components. The SR3M clone will be in development after the start of production of the Viska.

Will The Be a Non-NFA/State COMPLAINT version?

We are currently designing two non-NFA version of the Viska. Our plans are for a “pistol” version featuring a pistol brace and threaded muzzle as well as a rifle version with a 16” barrel and faux suppressor. As for state compliance, with constantly changing state laws our main focus is our home state of Connecticut. Other states may be considered in the future.

How close is the viska to the original VSS Vintorez?

The Slagga Viska is a nearly identical clone to the VSS Vintorez. The only original parts on the Viska are the suppressor baffles, and the barrel. The suppressor utilizes a modern mono-core baffle, resulting in improved sound suppression. Additionally The mono-core baffle uses a taper mount to align with the barrel, allowing for better lock up and ensuring the baffles are concentric . The barrel does not feature barrel porting (other than the gas port). This change improved accuracy, without impacting the suppressors performance.

Will the viska be exported outside the US?

While we have received many request for exportation to Canada, we currently do not possess a license for export. We hope as our business expands we can open our sales to the international market in the future.

How are sales going to be done/Can a i become a dealer?

Our current plan for conducting business is directly selling to buyers and shipping to FFL dealers. All tax-stamp/NFA paperwork must be handled with your local FFL. We highly suggest contacting your local FFL and ensuring they are willing to handle NFA items. We will only ship NFA items to SOT FFL dealers as per Federal Law.
